Prue opened the Plaza Wellbeing Centre in 2017 after experiencing first-hand the benefits of pilates and rehabilitation machines interstate. Seeing how much they could help people, she wanted to bring this type of therapy to Alice Springs and create a space where people could focus on their health and wellbeing.

What started with a vision to bring Pilates to the local community has grown into a much-loved wellbeing centre offering massage, beauty and skin therapies, body treatments, and a range of products to support self-care.

She is passionate about helping people and loves seeing the difference that the right treatment and a little time for yourself can make. One of her favourite parts of owning Plaza Wellbeing Centre is seeing clients arrive feeling sore, stressed or simply having a difficult day, and leave feeling happier, more relaxed and cared for.

Over the years, She has built Plaza Wellbeing Centre around people who make it special, its clients and its team. Even after challenges like temporary closures due to COVID-19 and renovations, she has kept Plaza Wellbeing growing and improving. She reopened in a larger space in 2024 to meet the growing needs of the community, with overwhelming support from clients. She started supporting local charities and events, and offered services at a lower cost or for free to people who are making a positive difference.

Prue is proud of what Plaza Wellbeing Centre has become and remains passionate about creating a welcoming space where people can take time for themselves, feel supported and leave feeling better than when they arrived.
